New Interactive Release is a song, a performance instrument, and remix contest all in one

This is something that I’ve been wanting to try for a long time. Instead of taking the traditional path of distributing a final song for people to listen to in a nice, bite sized unit, I opted to launch my new tune, “Lazer Bay” deep into the ether by putting it out as a free tune, remix parts, soundpack instrument, and video contest. The release is orchestrated in partnership with DJ TechTools, who are providing the prizes, publicity, and framework for the contest and distribution. Its a new type of release, could it be the future of music?
